The Prairie Sangha is funded through donations from those who choose to support the sangha financially. We do not provide recommendations for gift amounts as it is up to each individual to decide what is appropriate to give. This practice is in accordance with the Theravada principle of dana, in which the Dharma is freely and generously offered with no expectation of payment or reward.
Dana helps the sangha cover expenses such as weekly rent for the Quaker Meetinghouse, website hosting and registration, and other incidental costs that enable us to offer these meditation evenings each week. The Prairie Sangha is a volunteer-run organization with no paid employees.
If you wish to make a gift to the Prairie Sangha, the following options are available:
Placing your gift in the basket outside the door of the meditation hall on Monday evenings;
Sending a check (payable to the Prairie Sangha) to PO Box 222, Champaign, IL 61824;
Logging into Paypal and sending a gift to firstname.lastname@example.org; or
Clicking on the Donate button below to make a credit card donation.
The Prairie Sangha is a 501(c)(3) public charity under Section 170(b)(1)(A)(i) of the Internal Revenue Code, and your donation is tax-deductible.
